Phil lives just outside Basingstoke, Hants, UK. He is a self-taught photographer, but has learnt much from Basingstoke Camera Club and by going on photographic workshops organised by Light and Land .He is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society which was gained with a panel of 15 slides in 1998, having previously got his LRPS in 1994. He has visited several photogenic places around the world, most recently visiting the Czech Republic and Prague.He regularly exhibits in national photographic exhibitions and has also exhibited at Christie's and the Mall Galleries in London.
